To continue the progress and development of this directory I added a new category entitled roulette and obviously containing online roulette links to it today. Link id number 274 was added to the directory today, its not really the 274th link as one or two of the submitted links were refused for been spam, its actually the 221st link added to my directory. This is a good site so it was approved.

Good news for my site. Today I got another link submission and have added the website to my directory. This new link went on to the shopping page and the shop sells Business Greeting Cards, they offer a wide range of greeting cards for business purposes covering all the holidays and special occasion such as birthdays, anniversarys, sympathy cards, get well cards and much more. Online shopping is increasingly in popularity for a ton of different reasons. Mainly because its much easier to find the things you want online and can save you the hassle of travelling to a shop, finding a parking place then waiting in a line for the checkout.
I have worked it out that if i get another 12 or so submissions i will be able to extend the directorys life for another year.

I decided my site needed upgrading so i payed the $25 and got myself a copy of the latest version of the php directory, the new admin area is a lot better than the old one. However when i upgraded i lost my old template so had to rebuild something quickly. In the old version i could add individual things to each page by using some of the smarty code {if $categoryid eq 8} type of thing but i cant seem to do it the same with the newer version 
Anyway the new admin area makes up for that. Since upgrading i have had a few more submissions, i need to re-configure the acceptance emails as im not sure i have them set correctly yet.
The latest link added to this directory is about rugs for your home, it has gone into the http://www.sparedirectory.com/shopping/home-and-garden/ category and you can read more about it here.
I might have a look around at some of the other templates later and see if there is one i like. Its much easier to add or change the template now with the newer version.

Today i decided to remove the two extra sections i had added one day when i was bored. The articles area and webmaster tools sections have now gone. I have removed these to keep the site easier to manage and so i can focus on the actual directory. I have a few other directories and thought it will be less confusing and more hassle free without these sections. I have also merged the three databases i had into one and backed it up. I would hate to loose all my information and peoples links. Each time a new link is added to this site i back the database up.
Apart from this on site blog i have created an off site blog and slowly each week i write a post about one of the categories and put a link back to it, this way i am increasing links to the internal pages of the site.
